Introducing the VMUPro
The last visual memory card you'll ever need for your Dreamcast. But it's not just for your Dreamcast.
The VMUPro has the ability to run applications and 8-bit console emulators turning it into a small handheld. Enjoy your favourite games from consoles like the Game Boy & Game Boy Color, NES, Game Gear and Master System on its amazing Backlit IPS TFT 16-bit Colour display.
The power of MemCard PRO
The VMUPro comes with all the features you loved from our MemCard PRO memory cards and builds on them to provide an even better experience tailored to its 1.5" Colour display. Automatic game detection through our innovative GameID system and multiple channels per game come as standard and can be stored on an up to 2TB microSD card (not included). A single gigabyte on your SD card is equal to 8192 original memory cards!
We've also added an amazing virtual memory card manager directly on the device! Cut/Copy and Paste your saves between virtual memory cards, delete them at will, or transfer them to another VMU or VMUPro by connecting the cards together. If you have more than one VMUPro, you can also transfer your saves between them wirelessly!
Wi-Fi + WebUI Reimagined (Coming Soon)
The VMUPro comes with our new unified WebUI which offers a more streamlined and user-friendly experience to manage your saves with ease, see playtime statistics, save game artwork and manage the device settings.
VMU Mini-games
It wouldn't be a VMU if it couldn't run your Dreamcast mini-games! The VMUPro is utilising a full EVMU Emulator to accurately run your original VMU mini-games. You can also choose up to 5x scaling, enable or disable a pixel effect or even choose your own colour theme!
8-bit Console Emulation
The VMUPro comes with 5 emulators as standard that let you play your favourite Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear, Master System and NES games directly on your VMUPro! All emulators support SRAM saving and 8 slots of save states for each of your games. The Game Boy emulator also comes with multiple palette options to give that game the original look you love. And all handheld emulators let you choose between original pixel rendering or 1.5X scaling mode to fill the screen. All that while running at full 60 fps!
Full-range Audio & Bluetooth LE**
The VMUPro has a mono 0.7 watt speaker on-board that can play all your favourite tunes, from the beeps of the VMU mini-games, to the 8-bit emulator music or full-range 44.1khz mp3 audio! It can get loud, so it would only make sense to add support for Bluetooth LE Audio and a headphone jack** to enjoy your games or music anywhere!
Great battery life
The original VMU suffered from terrible battery life due to the dual coin cell batteries that had to be used for it. So getting this right was important to us.
The VMUPro has a 720mAh battery that can give you up to 6 hours* battery life when used at its most demanding task: playing emulator games.
It's also able to stay in deep sleep (stand-by mode with real-time clock active) for a full month! And if you really need to preserve that battery life for months later, you can fully shut down the device too!

We love extending the capabilities of our devices beyond what they were originally designed for almost as much as making them in the first place. The VMUPro will receive continuous improvements and new features during its lifetime in the form of free firmware updates. We have quite a few surprises planned for the future, some of which will be available even before the first wave pre-orders start shipping!

Amazing Product with some minor issues
I just have to say I totally dig this product. The minute I put that 32gb sd card in I knew I'd love it. Unlimited saves, and you may well it does have space. While yes indeed it does it will take quite a life time of Dreamcast saves to actually fill it even if you may have a full romset for the current emulators. Yes of course it features emulation and I do think it's kind of great though it does have its issues. The product site mentions rom saves but for some reason at least for the NES it wouldn't save battery or even save from the emulator menu... Not quite sure what was happening there. As far video goes it looks pretty decent but I did seen an issue with items that flicker not being able to be visible which can be difficult for entering a name for yourself in games like The Legend Of Zelda. Some games had issues where the graphics would do a fullscreen graphics glitch flicker. For the most part as far as I see with NES emulation its cool but the issues I had can make for some problems. I don't at all think the emulation is what makes this product but it's a cool gimmick that allows you to play your favorite games on a small pocket device. I haven't tested other emulators so I'm not sure how much they differ from the NES emulator and if everything works better with them. As for other issues I didn't know that the left side had the power button and thought the menu button turned it on from both power off and sleep. But no the power button will turn it on when it's powered off. Sleep button will put the device to sleep and also wake it from sleep. There is slight input lag from waking the device but it does work and is a minor flaw. I never tested the device with music but it would be kind of cool to use if I could find that nifty accessory that allows you to plug in a headset or use a bluetooth headset. Kind of cool that there is a development page for making games for the VMU Pro but at this current time the only available items are the built-in VMU emulator (not tested), GB, SMS and NES. I think the VMU emulator will probably be excellent and cant wait to check that out. There's lots of options for the device and that makes it pretty darn nifty. You can make a bunch of memory cards which will save space on having extra VMU's (which are still kind of cool devices). I wasn't really sure what the channel option was for thought it might be related to the built-in wifi which allows you to download updates. Now a friend of mine wanted to see if he can wireless connect to it through wifi on PC but apparently at this time it doesn't work and maybe a feature in the future but I'm not 100% sure. That would make it easier then having to take out the SD card or maybe even use the USB C cable. Not quite sure if the USB C cable is only for charging but something I may also give a test. As far as it goes it's a pretty awesome device and you can even manage your saves straight from it and see the cool icons on it as well. The screen is pretty vibrant and the colors pop but another thing that I feel was needed is a screen protector. I feel this might be easy to get damaged and you might have to keep it away from the kids and keep it in a nifty place. Again with a few of the little issues I do love the product and can't wait to see what the device has in-store with future updates. Please make a little screen protector, fix emulation, sleep button input lag and a PC wifi connection for managing romsets etc. Also not sure where the bluetooth/audio device is but please mention something about it on the product page (link of device, and if being made). Breathing new life into my favorite console
The VMUPro has genuinely breathed new life into my favorite console, making the Dreamcast feel exciting and modern again without losing its nostalgic charm. It works flawlessly with ODE setups, which makes it an easy drop-in upgrade for anyone running a more modern Dreamcast configuration. The virtually unlimited storage means I never have to think about memory management, and everything just works the way you wish it always had. The extras are what really push it over the top—built-in emulators, an MP3 player, and a gorgeous screen turn it into a legit little handheld. Between the practicality and the fun bonus features, it’s easily one of my favorite gaming gadgets I own.

A modern VMU
Really cool product for Dreamcast fans. Fulfils the potential of the VMU with a nice backlit screen and rechargeable battery. The quality of the case moulding could be better, and the buttons are not very responsive which lets it down a bit, especially for the price. Although overall it is probably good value for the feature set.

SEGA are proud!
If you own a Dreamcast, you ought to buy one of these. If you don’t, be confident in the fact that you are missing out on a MASSIVE quality of life upgrade. This is the standard of engineering and innovation that SEGA were pioneering back in the day a fitting tribute to their legacy. Don’t sleep on this.

Great but not perfect
I bought a few of these and there seems to be an issue sometimes when turning it on. Sometimes it wont boot regardless of the battery percentage and has to be plugged in to boot.

Exactly what I wanted
This turned out to be exactly what I wanted. A VMU with a back lit color screen that can use any SD card I put into it. I love that I can import saves on my computer to the SD card with VMU Explorer. I can't wait to see what future updates unlock.
