The SNES Control Addon for the NES HUB allows the use of SNES Controllers on the NES. Additionally, Famicom Peripherals that use the 15 pin Famicom expansion port can be used together with the Japanese games they were designed for.
If you want to use Famicom Peripherals, make sure to auto-boot into the Japanese game, because game selection menus, like on everdrives, can’t be controlled with something plugged into the Famicom expansion port. See here on for information how to auto-boot into games.

Being able to use the far superior SNES controller on NES games is an absolute revelation. No more sore hands from those sharp corners on the original NES controllers. As a bonus there is also a port for Famicom accessories such as the Arkanoid rotary controller. Excellent.
