We're pleased to offer the new upgraded remote control for the RetroTINK-5X. The new remote has improved range, shortcuts for quick-loading profiles and buttons for directly selecting a menu page, input source, output resolution and sync mode.
You will need to upgrade to firmware version 3.7 to support the new codes. Note: the newer firmware versions still work with the old remote as well.
Remote requires two AAA batteries (not included).

RetroTINK 5X remote - worth it
It's worth getting the remote: it makes the experience with the 5X much easier. I've ordered a few things from 8BitMods and they're always good and reliable and decently priced, in my experience. Recommend!

Much better than the original that comes with the 5X.

Nice upgrade over the included remote
Remote is more responsive and a lot of the functionality has been streamlined thanks to the dedicated shortcut buttons. Also looks and feels a lot more premium than the pack in remote. A must for power users especially those with multiple systems hooked up to the TINK 5X.
