ETH2SP1 Ethernet Adapter For GameCube Swiss BBA Alternative
- Brand
- LaserBear Industries
- SKU:
- LB-1001
Swiss supports SPI Ethernet adapters connected to the Serial Port 1, allowing for fully self contained Ethernet modules to be connected to the base of the console.
At the moment SPI Ethernet adapters can only be used to emulate BBA functionality in games that support network play, or dump games over the network.
This adapter will snap into the bottom bay of the GameCube allowing for access out of the side of the console like the original BBA adapter.
Our adapters are build on the Wiznet W5500 module which supports higher interface speeds than the ENJ28J60 modules typically used in other adapters.
Color options are matched as closely as possible to stock consoles,
Purple is not a perfect match to an Indigo Cube, and same is true about Silver in a Platinum Cube.
(Note BBA Emulation is only implemented in SWISS this will not work with stock consoles)
Troubleshooting:
SWISS does not detect the adapter: You may need to update to a newer version of SWISS
Recommended at least v0.6r1984
SWISS hangs after booting with the network adapter plugged into an Ethernet cable.
The SP1 port sometimes has an interrupt that is failing to clear, SWISS can hang while trying to clear the interrupt. Sometimes a power cycle can clear this fault, but you may need to disconnect the Ethernet cable during boot and reconnect it once the console is powered on. This only happens with a fully configured adapter, and is random, but will happen.
