PlayStation 1 Replacement Shell (Opaque Black)

I would recommend this case, but I have given it 4 stars becuse it did not come with any instructions, but did include 2 small screws. Due to the lack of instructions it was not really clear what the screws where for. I dismantled my original console and implanted the parts into the new shell using the original PlayStation screws. Once I finished I turned over the console and noticed that 2 of the original PlayStation screws where protruding out of the bottom of the console shell. So I assume that 2 of the original PlayStation screws are too big for this aftermarket case and I should have swapped them with the 2 included screws. But without any instruction, I was not to know this.

It's a robust and sturdy piece of design that mirrors the original in almost every way. The opaque black look gives the OG PlayStation a sleek, modern aesthetic, breathing new life into the console. However, it's not without its minor imperfections. The original console's grey controller ports are still visible in this new shell, which creates a slight color inconsistency. Additionally, the lack of the PlayStation logo on the cover and the absence of colored words on the buttons are minor oversights that slightly detract from the authenticity of the overall experience. However, these are small blemishes on an otherwise impressive product. Despite these minor flaws, this replacement shell offers a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an all-black Net Yaroze PS1. Impressed by the quality of the case; even the buttons sound like the original ones. It is sturdy and perfectly functional. The only letdown is that it obviously uses the controller port of the original console, so they will be in grey color unless you disassemble and paint them yourself. Additionally, it is missing the PS logo from the cover, but you can buy them on other websites.
