ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Did you ever want to play your Nintendo 64 games with a wireless controller, but couldn't find a viable solution?
You don't need to wait any longer!
The N64 BlueRetro Controller Adapter is a an adapter for the Nintendo 64 that allows you to connect bluetooth controllers like the PS4, PS5, XBOX, Nintendo Switch, RetroFighters Brawler 64 BT (incompatible at the time of writing, but RetroFighters are working on adding compatibility via a firmware update) and most other BT based controllers. Even the Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo 64 Controller works!
Not only that, but it also adds 4 banks of virtual memory paks for your saves, that you can download and backup through its web interface! It can also emulate a rumble pak, if your controller supports rumble!
Features:
- Remappable buttons
- Easy to use web interface
- Over the Air firmware updates
- Plug & Play
- Rumble and memory pak support (virtual)
Pairing Process:
- Plug the adapter into your Nintendo 64 console.
- The LED will start to flash, this indicates pairing mode is active.
- Pair the controller of your choice
- After the controller is paired, it will automatically connect after a button press from now on
Button functions:
Short press (outside BT inquiry mode): Disconnect all Bluetooth devices from the adapter.
Short press (BT inquiry mode): Cancel Bluetooth pairing mode.
3 second hold: Enable Bluetooth pairing mode (new pairing).
10 sec hold: Factory resets the adapter to default configuration and clears BT pairing keys.
LED Status:

Pulsing: Bluetooth pairing mode active (pairing).
Off: No errors, Bluetooth pairing mode disabled, controller connected.
Web Config Information:
Web Config is only available if no controller is connected. Supported only in Desktop or Android Chrome.
How to access the Web Config:
Power on system and connect via Web Bluetooth at BlueRetro Config to configure adapter. Button remapping and preset instructions can be found here.
Updating firmware via Web Config (OTA FW update):
Download the latest firmware from the BlueRetro GitHub page. Unzip the firmware file. Open a tab/window in your web browser and navigate to Blueretro Update Click “Connect BlueRetro” button. Select the “BlueRetro_n64_spiffs.bin” from the unzipped firmware folder. The “Live Output” will scroll through with the update process. On a PC, the update can take around 5 minutes. On Android, the update can take significantly longer.
Additional Information
Depending on the state of your Nintendo 64 Power Supply, it may have a hard time to power 4 adaptors simultaneously. In our tests with four adapters on one system, everything worked out fine, but be aware that it could cause problems if your power supply is not in a good state.
This adapter is made possible by the amazing Blueretro open source project by Darthcloud: GitHub

Awesome device - Ready to play
Awesome to play N64 with the online switch N64 controller. The only issue I found is that for some reason its not working with Fzero but its likely an issue from my side

N64 BlueRetro Controller Receiver with Memory Pak (Smoke Black)
Adapter looks really good and is working fine with my bluetoooth controllers, pairing is pretty easy and you can update firmware and edit mapping within Blueretro Web config (which is not the easiest way but still nice that this is possible). Definitely recommend this adapter.

Versatile product!
The build quality is nice. It does fit quite tight in the N64 port and definitely won’t pop in and out as easy as a controller, but I’m fine with that. I synced a N64 controller with the 8Bitdo N64 wireless mod kit installed, but even better I also synced it with Nintendo’s own N64 NSO controller. Both without issues. I can’t configure it using Safari unfortunately, it requires something like Chrome and such to do that but that is a limitation of Safari and not this product. Memory and rumble support is awesome as well. Just a very nice product!

Needs work
It works but the advanced features are not ideal. Connecting a bluetooth controller, e.g. a DS4 works fine and the default mappings make sense. You also can swap a virtual memory pak with a rumble pak by pressing the home button, touchpad switches 1 of 4 memory paks. That's all good. However where it goes off the rails is in the configuration. Using a public web page and the Bluetooth API in chrome is somewhat clunky and there are a number of features just missing from what I can see. Or maybe they are there but the wiki explanations don't explain well enough. Short version is right now it's a clunky 3-star, hopefully with some improvements it could be a 5-star but as of this moment, it's not there. Buy it to connect your Switch N64 controller and leave the mappings alone, multiple profiles just aren't implemented well enough yet and the configuration tool is IMHO a net negative.

Exactly what I wanted!

N64 Controller Adapter kabellos
Der Adapter hat keine spürbaren Verzögerung. Getestet mit dem N64 Switch Controller und zusätzlich noch eine Speicherplatz für Spielstände einfach super. Benutzte 4 Stück an einer Konsole. Keine Problem damit

Fantastic product!
Recently rekindled my childhood by buying a N64. I think we all remember the issues with the poor quality of the original N64 controllers. A combination of this product and the Switch N64 wireless controller I've found the perfect balance. The NSO controller offers rumble pack and an easy way to switch between rumble and memory pack. 2 comments for anyone buying the products. First is that you will have to connect to the adapter and format the memory slots before being able to access them, takes a couple of minutes through your phone or computer. Second comment is to not update the firmware to 1.91 if you plan to use the Switch N64 controller, it caused the controller to disconnect after about 15 min of use, i reset the device by holding the button for 15 seconds to rollback the firmware and it's now working spot on All in all, 5/5, getting 3 more to give a more modern authentic experience to the Nintendo 64

Nice design, works well
Maybe I'd have preferred to play with 2.4GHz controllers instead of Bluetooth ones, but that's the market
