The Dreamcast PicoPSU mod replaces the internal power supply, which originally takes 220-240v (or 110-120v for NTSC consoles) with a modern ATX power supply.
The result is a dramatic decrease in the internal temperature of the Dreamcast. It is paired by a normal 12v (3a or more recommended) external switching power supply. This way you can use your Dreamcast anywhere in the world, regardless what the voltage that is coming out of the mains is!
Furthermore, the kit includes a 3D printed mounting bracket for the PSU socket. These are high quality brackets 3D printed and polished for 8BitMods with SLS technology.
Note: the PicoPSU supplied in this kit is an original Mini-Box PicoPSU and NOT an inferior cloned design that most other sellers supply!

The DC replacement to purchase.
Ordered this to replace the aging PSU for my Dreamcast, very easy to install. No soldering required, just need to remove the old one and drop this one in. Great mod and from what I understand safest for the Dreamcast. I'd recommend adding this one to the watch list and buying when stock is available!

Dreamcast PicoPsu
I looked at quite a few power supplies for dreamcast before settling for this one mainly as it uses genuine parts so I know it will be safe and have a good lifespan. I paired this with a LEICKE Ull Universal Power Supply, 5.5 x 2.5 mm Plug which I purchased from amazon.de. I am really happy with my purchase and everything is working perfectly.
